The film was started on its development in the year 2005. The Korean comic where the movie “Priest” was based, the author of the comic stated that it was inspired by the computer game “Blood” because it featured the same horror-Western artistic and undead protagonist. The film changed its release dates numerous times until it was officially announced that the film will release on this coming May 13, 2011 because since the film entered in development, it was especially pushed from the year 2010 to 2011 to convert the film into a 3D one.
